THE FRUITFUL CHRISTIAN LIFE

Christ in me and you puts us on the highlight of being fruitful in an actual Christian life in this world . It literally means to have the Christ natured form within us . This is greatly essential since we are the followers of Christ & the world should be knowing us through the Christ in us . Being a sincere follower is the single most feature that can also help us in the journey of being fruitful . 

To explicate more, let’s turn to (John 15:4) , Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 

This verse clearly indicates the necessity of being in Christ & Christ in us. There is also no other choice unless to cling on to Christ just like how the branch can never be fruitful unless it stays with the vine . 

Also as the scripture says in( Matthew 7:16 )By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? This shows us the importance & dire need of how essential it is to be a true Christian and if you need to bear fruit that is useful for the purpose of the kingdom of God .

Now the question arises as to how do we remain in Christ & Him in us ? 

The straight answer will come up to the fact that we have to overcome the world understanding the love of Christ for us . We must have that belief that we are citizens  of a heavenly calling & that the world we live in is only a temporary  place of stay .

As it says in  (Philippians 3:20 )But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.An example of this is  just like being loyal to our own country as a matter of citizenship & patriotism . Being an identified citizen makes us to move with the necessity of following the necessary policies & to abide by all necessary acts to make ourselves bring about the true identity in us .

 And the faith in Christ can enlighten us more for this purpose to be fulfilled in us . And his true instilled love for us can make us move on each day with the abundant grace . Well , it’s true that putting things into writing & speech is easier rather than practical . But there’s an assurance from our Father . As the scripture speaks in (John 16:33) I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Through the above promise, Christ himself has set an example for us so that we follow his footprints & be more productive for all . He has made us understand that there would be circumstances that would test our faith . But it’s a matter of being patient & waiting on the Lord so as to walk our everyday lives as fruitful Christians .

The other verse that can be brought about for the factor of overcoming the world for a true Christian is in (1 John 2:15-17) Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father  is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

The above verse gives us an additional assurance & a promise that whoever does  His will lives forever . The fruits of the world are also mortal & its only our fruitful life as a true Christian by being a true follower can lead us to achieve our aim of where we are supposed to be . The element of process that can help us much in our journey is obviously with no doubt , the Word Of God . It’s indeed the bread of life that gives us the energy & needed strength to conquer things for His glory & honour .

1 John 2:14 says ,

I write to you, dear children,  because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers,  because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men,because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you,  and you have overcome the evil one.

This word of God is like a true armour & a spearhead weapon that is able to crush down all ways that go against the will of Christ working in us . Our Almighty God expects that we have the life through His word & be a fruitful believer .

2 Peter 1:5-9 says 

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

The additional features of a true fruitful Christian from the above verse can be seen as virtues , knowledge , temperance , patience , godliness , brotherly kindness & charity . These are factors which we can learn even from the life of Jesus in his dwelling in the world . The knowledge & virtues to resist the devil, the patience to face trials , the godliness to conquer heights in spiritual life & last but not the least brotherly kindness & charity for all to show the love of christ towards all . 

The scripture also tell us in( Galatians 5:22-23) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 

These are other essential ingredients that help us mould our lives according to the Christ centered goals apart from the foundational ideas of accepting Jesus Christ as our personal saviour, being baptised in the name of the Father, Son & the Holy Ghost & being filled with the Holy Ghost. Let us make sure that our everyday life move on with the fruits of the spirits by being joyful & loving always in the nature of Christ , showing kindness & goodness to the people around us , putting ourselves in self control & being gentle in situations wherein it’s necessary & putting on peace & forbearance in all our acts towards the society . 

On a conclusion, this would help us run our race in all might with the needed confidence to be a fruitful Christian & gain souls for His name .
